The notecards in this set feature all seven images from Frank Reaugh's
24 Hours with the Herd
, a series of panoramic pastel paintings that portray a day in the life on the plains during the height of the Texas cattle roundups. The notecards and their envelopes are packed in a clear acrylic box.
Frank Reaugh (1860–1945) is one of the Southwest's earliest and most distinguished artists. Working in the vein of American Impressionism, Reaugh devoted his career to visually documenting the immense unsettled regions of the Southwest before the turn of the twentieth century.
