From Gutenberg to Gone with the Wind: Treasures from the Ransom Center is an illustrated hardback book that features many of the cultural and literary icons of the Harry Ransom Center.
The treasures presented in this book were chosen to give a rich sampling of the objects that made up the Ransom Center's collections at the time of its printing in 2001.
The objects span from the Middle Ages to the contemporary and represent all major collecting areas found at the Ransom Center—manuscripts, books, photographs, artwork, film, and decorative arts.
Large color images accompany text that illuminates the history of collection items from William Shakespeare, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, George Washington, Nicolaus Copernicus, D.H.
